A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §24A-3-3a, relating to requiring the Public Service Commission to allow Class I cities to enter into one or more agreements with contract carriers by motor vehicle.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §24A-3-3a, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 3. CONTRACT CARRIERS BY MOTOR VEHICLES.

§24A-3-3a. Agreements with Public Service Commission.

Upon petition by a Class I city, the commission shall allow the Class I city to enter into agreements with one or more contract carriers by motor vehicles.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is
to requiring the Public Service Commission to allow Class I cities to enter into one or more agreements with contract carriers by motor vehicle .
